 The Golden Touch of Midas



एक बार की बात है, यूनानी राजा मिडास था।

Once upon a time, there was a Greek King, Midas.

वह बहुत अमीर था और उसके पास बहुत सारा सोना था।

He was very rich and had lots of Gold.

उसकी एक बेटी थी,

He had a daughter,

जिसे वह बहुत प्यार करता था।

who he loved a lot.

एक दिन मिदास को एक फरिश्ता मिला जिसे मदद की जरूरत थी।

One day, Midas found an angel in need of help.

उसने उसकी मदद की जिसके  बदले में देवदूत ने मिडास की एक अभिलाषा पूरी करने का वायदा किया  ।

He helped him, in return the angel promised to fulfill one of Midas' wishes.

मिडास की इच्छा थी कि वह जिस चीज को छूए वह सोना बन जाए।

Midas wished that everything he touched would turn into gold.

उसकी इच्छा मंजूर की गई |

His wish was granted.

अपने घर के रास्ते में उसने चट्टानों और पौधों को छुआ और वे सोने में बदल गए।

On his way home, he touched rocks and plants and they turned into gold.

जैसे ही वह घर पहुँचा, उत्साह में उसने अपनी बेटी को गले से लगा लिया, जो सोने में बदल गई थी।

As he reached home, in excitement he hugged his daughter, who turned into gold.

मिडास तबाह हो गया था और उसने अपना सबक सीख लिया था।

Midas was devastated and he had learnt his lesson.

अपना पाठ सीखने के बाद, मिदास ने देवदूत से उसकी इच्छा को दूर करने के लिए कहा।

After learning his lesson, Midas asked the angel to take his wish away.

 

 

Moral of the story

लालच आपके लिए अच्छा नहीं है।

Greed is not good for you.

सुखी जीवन जीने के लिए जो कुछ आपके पास है उसमें संतुष्ट रहें।

Be content with what you have to lead a happy  life.
